The spacious studio is ideal for workshops, therapeutic groups, or educational events with access to all the tools you need. Even better, Making Space makes hosting an event easy. The facility fee includes listing your event on our calendar, advertising in our storefront, and taking care of participant registration and credit card processing through our scheduling system. Share space as a professional member
Making Space offers a shared fully furnished professional office ready to press "go" for your practice. The office is equipped with creative tools, access to a shared professional library, Wi-Fi, printer and its own small waiting area. Professional members received discounted rates and priority scheduling in the group studio space. The office is available for part-time day use. Katie Kajdan Bell
FOUNDER, LPC, ATR
Katie Kajdan Bell completed a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and Art Therapy in 2009, specializing in Somatic Therapies, ARC Trauma Treatment, CBT, and Eating Disorders modalities. She offers creative, clinically rooted interventions for adults and adolescents dealing with various issues. Katie actively pursues educational opportunities for enhanced treatment efficacy, integrating neuroscience research with evidence-based practices. She served as a founding member of the board of directors for AKEDA (Alaska Eating Disorder Alliance) and is a member of professional associations, including the American Counseling Association and American Art Therapy Association.
Jonathan Bower
LCSW, MEMBER
Jonathan opened his private practice in 2022 after nearly twenty years of employment in the mental health field. Jonathan received his MSW at the University of Alaska Anchorage and is a practicing LCSW. Additionally, he holds an MFA in Creative Writing, and is trained in EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Trauma-Informed CBT, and more. Off the clock, he attempts to keep up with his two teenage sons and continue his career as a musician and artist.
